LEARNING OBJECTIVES

- Clinical protocols in bone grafting from incision to suturing
- The vertical and horizontal aspects of ridge augmentation
- Extraction site management: immediate versus delayed implant placement with bone & soft tissue grafting
- The optimal selection of implant design, surface, and position
- Planning for esthetic cases and the development of gingival papilla support
- Understand Resorbable Collagen & PTFE membranes, Emdogain, Gem-21 & PRF applications Autogenous bone, Xenograft & Allograft – what combo works for GBR?
Days 2
1/2 Day Live Surgery and 1/2 Day Hands-On Workshop on porcine mandible models
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Clinical solutions to biological bone regeneration and socket grafting
- Intra-oral donor sites, as well as techniques for harvesting such sites
- Decision making based on the outcome of available soft tissue protocols
- Immediate extraction site techniques with internal grafting for maximum tissue preservation
- Prosthetic steps to assist in grafting and implant procedures for the clinician
- Learn the use of biomaterials and growth factors with autogenous bone and barrier membranes

- Clinical benefits of minimally invasive osteotome sinus elevation

FACULTY
DR SASCHA A JOVANOVIC
Periodontist & Implant Surgeon, Los Angeles
Dr. Sascha A. Jovanovic is considered a global expert in Implant Dentistry and one of the founders of guided bone regeneration (GBR) and Esthetic Implant Surgery with over 80 scientific publications.
He presents his clinical and evidence based implant protocols globally and is the Academic Chair of the gIDE Institute, Past-President of the European Association of Osseointegration (EAO), Past-Co-Director of the UCLA Dental Implant Center, honorary member and award recipient of several academic organizations and editorial boards for scientific journals and Past-Faculty of UCLA, Loma Linda Univ, Univ of Aachen, Hong Kong Univ, Buenos Aires Univ, Chulalongkorn Univ and others.
He was formally trained in Periodontics at UCLA School of Dentistry; in Implant Dentistry at Loma Linda Univ and in Prosthodontics at Univ of Aachen, Germany, and holds a Master of Sciences Degree in Oral Biology from UCLA.
Dr. Jovanovic’s practice and research emphasize bone and soft tissue regeneration and esthetic implant management.
DR DENNIS HUNT
Periodontist, Los Angeles
Dr. Dennis Hunt was formally trained in Periodontics at UCLA School of Dentistry, and holds a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology from UCLA. He restricts his clinical work to preventive Periodontal therapy, periodontal plastic surgery, dental implant therapy, and bone & soft tissue reconstruction and has collaborated with Dr Jovanovic on cases and in research for over 30 years. He is the Founder of RockstarWhite, a tooth whitening company.
Dr. Hunt’s clinical research emphasizes esthetic management in dental therapy and applied bone and soft tissue reconstruction techniques. He teaches nationally and internationally and has published several scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals, along with winning research awards from both UCLA and AO.
